Dear Students, 
 
Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Applied Sciences started its activities in 2013-2014 academic year with 6 departments. Having been closely following the fields required by the business world, global developments and the new occupational groups created, our faculty continued to launch new departments in years. I can proudly say that today our faculty provides training in 12 departments at international standards.
 
Our faculty hosts the departments of Banking and Insurance, Electronic Commerce and Management, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts(English), Public Relations and Advertising, Avionics,  Aviation Management, English Translation and Interpreting, Television  Reporting and Programming, Aircraft Maintenance and Repair, New Media and Communication,  Management information Systems.
 
The curriculum of each department are carefully prepared and applied by professional academicians who follow the developments in their own fields in accordance with the internationalisation strategy of our university. Creating a difference with its applied trainings, our faculty provides the young generations that will form our future with the practical and theoretical information that will enable them to become successful in their field. Our faculty takes raising investigative, innovative, responsible, socially conscious, creative individuals who have the capacity to put the theoretical information in practice, follow and analyse the developments occurred in their own field, respect to ethical rules and are committed to global values as its mission. 
 
The Faculty of Applied Sciences enhances the improvement of its students not only with its education program but also through organizing various events. Our students participate in events like seminars, meetings, congresses, etc. organized both under the body of the university and by various other institutions and thus improve themselves socially and culturally, enhance their self-expression skills and self-confidence, receive actual professional information and gain a visionary point of view. 
 
Having made its efforts to raise its students in better conditions each year and gained important achievements, Istanbul Gelisim University will continue its development with its newly participating students and raise more young people as individuals specialized in their fields with a social consciousness. Our university is offering the new students an active higher education in which they will experience the joy of learning and the pleasure of practicing the information they learn.
