Announcement and REGISTRATION DATES: Tuesday, July 16, 2019 – Friday, July 18, 2019
For registration, the students are required to apply in person to the Student Affairs in the Rectorate building.

Double Major Program Student Quota
The quota for students who will do Double Major is determined by the University Senate, provided that the cumulative grade point average of the major diploma program is at least 70 out of 100 (2.72 / 4.00) and the success rating in the relevant class of the major diploma program should not be less than 20%.
Providing that not being less than 20% of the initial quota of the related class of the programs, the Double Major program quotas will be determined by a Senate decision.
The quotas determined for law, medicine, health programs as well as engineering and architecture programs are only announced for students who are registered to these faculty, School and Vocational School programs.

Conditions for Double Major Program Applications
Students can apply for Double Major diploma program at the beginning of third semester at the earliest in case of major undergraduate diploma program and at the beginning of fifth semester at the latest in case of four-year programs, at the beginning of seventh semester at the latest in case of five-year programs and at the beginning of ninth semester at the latest in case of six-year programs. In case of Major Associate diploma programs, students can apply at the beginning of second semester at the earliest and at the beginning of third semester at the latest.
Students from other faculty or school undergraduate diploma programs cannot apply to law, medicine, health, engineering and architecture Double Major programs, but students of these faculties and schools can apply to Double Major programs of other faculty and schools.
In order to apply to a Double Major Program, the student must have successfully completed all credit courses in the major undergraduate / associate program and not received a disciplinary punishment until the semester in which the application is made.
The cumulative grade point average during application is required to be at least 70 out of 100 (2.72 / 4.00) and the success rating in the relevant class of the major diploma program should not be less than 20% as of the registration date.
Among students whose cumulative grade point average of the major diploma program is at least 70 out of 100 (2.72 / 4.00), but whose success rating in the relevant class of the major diploma program is less than 20%, those who has a score not less than the base score of the Double Major program on that year may also apply to the Double Major Program.
Double Major Applications are not allowed from a program taught in Turkish to a program having the same name but taught in English. Only Lateral Transfer Applications are allowed between these programs.
In case the student is applied to a program taught in foreign language in full or partly, he/she is required to obtain a minimum score of 70 out of 100 from the language proficiency examination held by the School of Foreign Languages, or to obtain an equivalent score from national/international tests accepted as equivalent by the Senate.
In order to apply for Double Major diploma program, students registered through Lateral Transfer should have attended at least one semester in the registered undergraduate/ associate program. However, students registered through vertical transfer cannot apply to a Double Major Program.
Acceptance and Registration Conditions for Double Major Program
Students fulfilling the requirements for Double Major Applications apply to the relevant Deanery or Directorate on the dates specified in the academic calendar, together with the application form and transcript.
During the application, the student can choose up to three Double Major Programs. Students are placed only one Double Major Program based on their preference sequence.
Doing more than one Double Major at the same time is not allowed. However, attending one Double Major program simultaneously with one Minor is possible.
In acceptance for a Double Major diploma program accepting students with an aptitude test, the student is required to be successful in aptitude test.
Admission of the Students to a Double Major diploma program is finalized upon the proposal of the chair of the department/program and decision of the relevant board of directors. Final registrations of the students admitted to the Double Major Program are made by the student affairs department.
A student who has been already registered to a Double Major diploma program can make a Lateral Transfer to a Double Major diploma program, in case he/she fulfills the requirements under provisions related to Intra-Institutional Lateral Transfer.

Application, Acceptance and Registration Conditions for Minor Program
The quotas determined by the University Senate for minor programs that will accept minor students are announced on the university website at least thirty days before the beginning of the related semester.
Students can apply to the announced Minor program at the beginning of 3rd semester of the undergraduate diploma program at the earliest and at the beginning of the 6th semester at the latest.
In order to apply to a Minor Program, the student must have successfully completed all credit courses in the major undergraduate program and not received a disciplinary punishment until the semester in which the application is made.
In order to apply to a Minor Program, the student’s cumulative grade point average during application is required to be at least 65 out of 100 (2.50 / 4.00).
Minor program applications are made to the Minor program department on the date specified in the academic calendar, together with the application form and transcript.
During the application, the student can choose up to three Minor Programs. Students are placed only one Minor Program based on their preference sequence. Doing more than one Minor program at the same time is not allowed. However, attending one Double Major program simultaneously with one Minor is possible.
Admission is finalized upon the proposal of the department and decision of the relevant board of directors.
