1. PRE-REGISTRATION
By
logging in, pre-registration should be completed. if you have not pre-registered before, you can complete pre-registration procedures in the library on the 3rd floor in Block A of the Rectorate building. (Pre-registration process is not final registration.) If you have been placed in a department with full tuition fee waiver, you can continue from step 4 without going to the accounting department and the bank.
2. TUITION FEE PAYMENT AND INSTALLMENTS
If you are going to make cash payment for tuition fees, you must first take a sequence number from the bank and after finishing the transactions in the bank, you need to complete the remaining procedures by taking a sequence number from the accounting department. If you are not going to make cash transactions, you can only perform your payment and installment transactions by taking a sequence number from the accounting department.
Note: Bank and accounting transactions related to two- and four-year health departments are carried out in Block B of the School of Health Sciences, and the transactions related to all other departments are carried out on the floor 0 of the Rectorate building.
3. DELIVERY OF DOCUMENTS
After completing your bank and accounting transactions, you take a sequence number from student affairs situated on the 1st floor of Block A of the Rectorate Building to complete your registration process. By checking of your documents at the document control desk, you deliver your documents to the student affairs.
You are now registered. Welcome back to Big Gelisim family.
Documents Required for Registration for 2018 - 2019 Academic Year
Original High School Diploma (notarized copies or copies of ‘true copy of the original’ will NOT BE ACCEPTED). Temporary registrations of the candidates who have been entitled to enroll to a higher education program, but cannot graduate from secondary education institutions, and who will take repeat examination or single course examination will also be made to the higher education institutions on the specified dates. If the applicants submit their proof of graduation to the higher education institution until December 31, 2018, their final registration will be done. Temporary registrations of those who do not certify that they have graduated until this date will be deleted, and also those who are in the same situation and do not complete their temporary registrations on the specified dates will not be registered. For students who graduated from another higher education program, the registrations will be done with the HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA. Registration will not be done with the diploma of the higher education institution that they have already graduated.
Students who have lost their high school diploma can be complete registration procedures with an approved (bearing Wet Signature and Seal) LOST certificate from the high school they graduated from.

For military candidates born in 1996 or before, Military Deferment Certificate (can be obtained from the induction stations or e-government). For those who have performed military service, the document showing their military service status.
Students registered in another higher education program cannot enroll in formal higher education programs at the same level (undergraduate-undergraduate, associate-associate); but together with formal education, it will be possible to register in open education and distance education programs. Students, who are currently registered at another higher education institution and whose original HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA is retained by that higher education institution, may apply with the PHOTOCOPY of HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA bearing SEAL of the said institution and the expression ‘TRUE COPY OF THE ORIGINAL’, and STUDENT CERTIFICATE (can be obtained from e-government).
ISSUES TO BE CONSIDERED FOR OUR PROGRAMS REQUIRING SPECIAL CONDITIONS AS PER DECISION OF YÖK/COHE:
> FIRST AND IMMEDIATE AID (Associate Degree)
1. A medical board (committee) report from State Hospitals or University Hospitals including the following should be taken:
It should be stated in the report that students who do not have a driving license have a body structure and mental health that does not prevent them from getting a driving license.
The report should specify the height and weight of the student.
2. Due to the fact that they are obliged to drive vehicles in the 2
nd class as a requirement of the program, they should have completed the age of 17 on the date of registration.
3. Female students should not be shorter than 160 cm and male students should not be shorter than 165 cm.
4. The weight of students should be no more than 5 or no less than 15 than the last two digits of the value expressed in centimeters for their height.
5. When working on a two-person team in rescue and carry tasks, they should have the physical fitness to carry a patient on a stretcher with his/her teammate.
> CIVIL AVIATION CABIN SERVICES (Associate Degree):
1. They are required to receive a report that their health status is suitable for flight from medical institutions authorized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

Reports taken from other hospitals will not be accepted.
2. Not to have any criminal record and any archived criminal record.
3. Female students should have height between the range 160- 180 cm.
4. Male students should have height between the range 170- 190 cm.
5. The weight of students should be no more than 5 or no less than 15 than the last two digits of the value expressed in centimeters for their height.
6. When cabin crew uniform is worn, there should be no tattoo, scars, etc. seen on the body's visible parts.
> AVIATION MANAGEMENT (Undergraduate Program), CIVIL AIR TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT (Associate Program), FLIGHT OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT (Associate Program):
1. A committee report is required to be received from a full-fledged hospital within the last 6 months stating that there are no health problems that might prevent him/her from performing his/her profession and/or any task within the scope of the profession.
Any hearing loss/impairment , vision loss/impairment, etc. should be noted in the report.
The report should include the expression, “There is no health problem that might prevent him/her from performing his/her profession and/or any task within the scope of the profession.”
2. Not to have any criminal record and any archived criminal record for obtaining an airport entrance card.
> AIRCRAFT AIRFRAME & ENGINES MAINTENANCE (Undergraduate Program), AIRCRAFT TECHNOLOGY (Associate Program):
1. A committee report is required to be received from a full-fledged hospital within the last 6 months stating that there are no health problems that might prevent him/her from performing his/her profession and/or any task within the scope of the profession.
Color blindness, vision loss/impairment, hearing loss/impairment, etc. should be noted in the report.
The report should include the expression, “There is no health problem that might prevent him/her from performing his/her profession and/or any task within the scope of the profession.”
2. Not to have any criminal record and any archived criminal record for obtaining an airport entrance card.
IN WHICH SITUATIONS REGISTRATION IS NOT ACCEPTED TO A HIGHER EDUCATION PROGRAM EVEN THOUGH REGISTRATION RIGHT HAS BEEN ENTITLED ACCORDING TO RESULTS OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS EXAMINATION (YKS)?
Registration of a candidate who has been entitled to the right to register to a higher education program through the central placement process depends on to fulfillment of all requirements sought by the relevant higher education institution. The statement about the candidate that he/she has won a program on the internet does not give him/her the right to register without fulfilling the other conditions stipulated by the relevant program.
The students who cannot not be registered to the program that they have been placed because of a reason that cannot be known during application such as health examination, physical disability (except features such as height, weight etc. that are known at the time of preference) will be placed out of quota, in case they are applied to the Directorate of OSYM (the Student Selection and Placement Center) in writing regarding their situation and together with all documents within first 15 days after the completion of registrations to programs among their lower ranked choices complying with their score (except for SCHOLARSHIP programs) by the Directorate of OSYM.
