Prof. Hikmet Kavruk became Director of Istanbul Gelisim University School of Applied Sciences
Prof. Hikmet Kavruk started his academic career at Gazi University as a lecturer in 1988, his major is Local administrations, Municipal Services Management, Urbanization and Dwelling Policies, Administrative Science and Administrative Development.
He took various positions as Vice Chairman, Chairman of Graduate School of Social Sciences, Dean of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, member of senate and board of managers, he also had responsibilities in the sphere of administrative development, permanent staff projects etc.
Prof. Himet Kavruk newly started working as Director of Istanbul Gelisim University School of Applied Sciences.
Prof. Hikmet Kavruk was born in Kayseri-Develi in 1965. He graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. İn 1991 he completed his Master’s degree in Graduate School of Social Sciences at Gazi University. After finishing his Ph.D. education in 1999 in the same graduate school he got the title Dr. His academic career as a Faculty member started in 1988 at Gazi University, Department of Public Administration. In 2001 he got the title of asst. prof, in 2015 associate prof., in 2010 prof. Prof. Hikmet Kavruk worked as an advisor to the minister in Ministry of Transport in September- December 2002, in 2012-2015 he became Chairman of Gazi University Graduate School of Social Sciences and in 2015-2016 he worked as Dean of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
Prof. Hikmet Kavruk conducted scientific researches in India in March- August 1997 (Jawaharlal Nehru University), USA in January- May (Michigan State University), Italy in May 2004 (Università degli Studi di Foggia), in USA between September 2014- January 2015 (Michigan State University).
Prof. Hikmet Kavruk has a number of published books, articles. Publications in local and national academic magazines, editorship experiences and membership of consultative committee.
On August 8th,2018 he became Director of Istanbul Gelisim University School of Applied Sciences.
