“Let’s demolish disabilities and make life different” seminar conducted

Director of Bud Foundation Rehabilitation Center Öznur Şen and Pschycologist  Ayça Tezerişir joined the seminar as speakers. The topics discussed: “ what is a mental disability?”, “How to educate people with mental disabilities, How to comminicate with these people etc. Moreover the speakers gave some information on Bud Foundation, its functions and activities as well as the ways to become a volunteer there.

Before the seminar together with disabled students finger painted or normally painted bookmarks were prepared in Bud Foundation Rehabilitation Center. These bookmarks were given to the participants after the seminar. Moreover, the students of Istanbul Gelisim University the School of Applied Science students together with disabled students planted bushes donated by Avcilar Municipality Park and Parks Department. As a part of the project 100 students of School of Applied Sciences Public Relations and Advertising department were questioned. The survey was conducted by by the students of Public Relations and Advertising depatment Mevlüt Mertcan Ödemiş, Yasemin Güler, Yaşar Yıldız, Yaren Kocaman ve Mustafa Çalğın  with the support of Head  of the School of Applied Sciences, Public Relations and Advertising Department Emel Tozlu Öztay,  Faculty Member Nevra Üçler, Head of Vocational School of Higher Education, Department of Marketing and Advertising  Fulya Beteş.

The speakers thanked Head  of  Istanbul Gelisim University the School of Applied Sciences, Public Relations and Advertising Department Emel Tozlu Öztay for inviting them. At the end of the event Tozlu presented plaques to Öznur Şen and  Ayça Tezerişir.
